Shrimp tempura recipe is a simple yet famous recipe from Japanese to deal with shrimp. Besides having it as a snack or party’s finger food, we can have it served with rice in our daily meals. Also, shrimp tempura with ketchup or chili sauce is such a perfect combination that will keep us craving for more. And the best plus point of shrimp tempura recipe is that it is very newbie-friendly, you can cook this dish without having to spend much time and effort.

Peel the shell of the shrimps, devein and wash them clean.
In a large bowl, mix rice flour, wheat flour, and salt. And in another bowl, beat the chicken egg, add water and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, mix them well together.
Then, pour the mixture of chicken egg into the bowl of flour (slowly and steadily) and mix them finely.

Heat up cooking oil in a pan. As the oil is hot enough (should be 200 Celcius degrees), dip each shrimp into the bowl of flour mixture and then fry it for 3-5 minutes. Continue to fry until the last shrimp.
Note: For best results, place the shrimps one by one and they should not stick together

Take them out and place them on a plate. Garnish some fresh herbs or create any plating decoration of your choice.
