700 g pork ribs
200 g Kimchi
1 tablespoon pepper
2 scallion
5 pieces garlic
1 onion
1 chili
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon chilli powder
2 tablespoons Mirin (rice cooking wine)
1 tablespoon black soy bean sauce
750 ml soup from seaweed and anchovy
1/2 tablespoon Korean chili sauce
65 ml Kimchi juice
1 tablespoon sugar
2 leaves bay leaves
1.5 l water

When it comes to Korean food, the first thing that springs to remind may be Kim Chi. It is a traditional dish and a common ingredient used in almost dishes in Korea.  Not only is it a national food, but it’s also a part of Korean’s culture and life. Today, All Asia Recipes will share with you Korean Kimchi braised pork ribs recipe. You will be addictive with the sour and sweet taste of kimchi braised with fresh pork ribs. Especially, this dish should be served with rice. What a delicious meal!

Soak the pork ribs in cold water for 20 minutes to get rid of any meat odor and wash out any of the blood. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables and kimchi. Cut the onion and scallion into small slices.

First, boil for ribs. Place ribs in a pot and fill with 1.5 liters of water, 1 tsp black soybean sauce. Add bay leaves, chopped garlic, chopped scallion and simmer for 30 minutes. Then pick up the ribs out.

25 minutes

Once the first boil is done, put the boiled pork ribs, kimchi, 750 ml soup from seaweed and anchovy, 65 ml kimchi water, 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp Korean chili sauce, 2 tsp mirin, 1 tsp sugar, garlic, and pepper into a pot. Boil on medium-high heat for 20 minutes. Then put more slices of onion, chili and braise for 5 minutes.

5 minutes

Once the pork is cooked through, add in sliced green onions and it’s finished! Enjoy your Kimchi Galbi Jjim
