  • Serves 4
  • Easy

Directions

How to make coconut rice? That shiny cooked rice with the gorgeous smell of coconut that makes you feel like drooly just by looking? Yes, yes it is! This recipe is going to be a brand-new approach to cooking rice and you will just love it. Coconut mixed in with rice makes the dish somehow lighter than usual, which will stimulate you to eat more. Also, with this recipe, rice becomes softer without sticky. So if you just had enough boredom of cooking rice the normal way, try this new recipe. Your meal will then become much more attractive.

Steps

1
Done

First off, wash rice carefully by whisking it in clean cold water for about 1 minute (you should do it twice). However, avoid washing it too strongly. Done washing, put it in to the pot/ rice cooker.

2
Done

Now, pour coconut milk into the rice pot, and add salt and water into the pot. After that, cook it with a medium fire. When it starts to reach the boiling point, stir and cook it with a small fire within 15 – 18 minutes. When it is well cooked, turn off the gas stove.

3
Done

To serve, scoop the cooked rice into the bowl and have it served with coconut or other dishes in our meals.
